Lisa, can you tell us what prompted you to create LAO Care?
Lisa: It all started when I was a student. At the time, I was looking for clean shampoos , but I had a lot of trouble finding products that were truly natural, sensory, and above all, effective!
It was necessary to succeed in creating natural hair care products that were more effective than conventional ones... all with a scientific approach to bring the best to people.

I was fortunate to work for a large cosmetics company where I was able to deepen my knowledge of product compositions.
As I researched, I realized that many formulas contained ingredients that were not very good for hair health and that it was difficult to find natural shampoos and treatments.that actually addressed common problems like dandruff, itching or hair breakage.
Brands selling natural products focused their message on naturalness while omitting the basics: effectiveness. And I'm not even talking about sensoriality: almost no foam, overly earthy scents...
That's when I realized: we had to create treatments that were effective while being clean and sensory .
But also, giving power back to our customers through knowledge , that is to say helping you understand your hair, and your hair problems.
How did you go from this idea to the realization of an entire range?
Lisa: Once I had my vision in mind, I wanted to take it further by specializing. I studied hair and the scalp in depth, drawing on scientific research to understand how they actually work.
Even today, people still say that hair hydrates itself, that it is “suffocated” or “alive”… and unfortunately, all of this is false!
So my goal was to bust the myths and re-establish the truth about hair science, while making it desirable .
This is how I was able to develop LAO Care , a brand that develops more than products, it develops technologies.
Our 100% natural hair care products are based on our own patented active ingredients, their effectiveness is scientifically proven , and they are also pleasant to use with an excellent quality/price ratio.
What do you think of so-called “Bond repair” products, i.e. products that regenerate damaged hair?
Lisa: These products, intended for hair damaged by bleaching and heat stress, emerged in the United States under the name "bond repair", (bond = bond, connection), that is to say which repair the disulfide bonds at the heart of the hair .
This is a great thing, because for the first time in the hair industry, brands have managed to popularize the science of hair! They have notably integrated into their message the fact that hair is composed of keratin , a protein that gets its strength from the bonds that compose it, including disulfide bonds.
However, the brands that offered these treatments based their effectiveness on active ingredients that were certainly patented, but mostly of petrochemical origin. Moreover, their treatments were too often composed of silicones and quats , which are film-forming active ingredients that coat the fiber, giving a false impression of softness and, above all, tend to weigh it down.
Many people with fine hair don't see themselves in these famous products.
How is LAO positioning itself in this market trend?
To date, there has been no 100% natural Bond Repair product with proven effectiveness both “in”, i.e. on the quantification of proteins after damage, and “out”, which proves with laboratory tests the resistance of the hair to traction and breakage.
I wanted to take on a bold challenge: to develop the first 100% natural keratin disulfide bond regeneration treatment , which regenerates the hair fiber in depth, increasing the hair's resistance to breakage!
It has been done since October 2024, when LAO Care unveiled INTENSE PROTEIN BONDING , the Regenerating Treatment for all hair types in 3 steps: shampoo, mask and leave-in cream.

Can you tell us more about this PEPTICARE active ingredient? ® ?
Lisa: PEPTICARE® is a unique active ingredient that we developed using the Power of Nature.
We have identified a plant with exceptional properties: camelina, a wild flower that grows in France .
PEPTICARE® is an active ingredient composed of camelina seed proteins, which enables a biochemical reaction at the heart of the hair. It is unique to LAO Care, as we filed a patent in July 2024.
How does the INTENSE PROTEIN BONDING Treatment work?
Lisa: The Regenerating Treatment consists of three treatments that work in perfect synergy:
- The Regenerating Shampoo : ideal even for fine hair thanks to its very light composition, it gently cleanses without attacking the scalp. Above all, it prepares the hair fiber for the application of other products by removing excess silicones and oils.

How often should I use the INTENSE PROTEIN BONDING treatment?
Lisa: We designed this Regenerating Treatment to really regenerate the hair, so no need to use it all year round.
We recommend a 15-day to 1-month treatment, depending on how often you wash your hair. For example, if you wash your hair once a week, do the treatment for at least 1 month. If you wash your hair every other day, 15 days of treatment will be enough.
In short, adapt your treatment to how you feel. If your hair still lacks suppleness, shine, and softness, continue!
After 4 months of launch, what is your feedback?
Lisa: In 4 months we've already had 3 stock shortages, it's just crazy!

To achieve a homemade clarification, you can add a teaspoon of baking soda to your usual dose of shampoo, apply the mixture to your scalp, massage gently, and then rinse thoroughly.
